They treated our guests like family and their service is second to none. Their experience and knowledge of weddings were essential to helping us plan the layout and flow for both our ceremony and reception. They delivered and set-up the chairs for our outdoor ceremony well in advance, and even provided the reception linens and some decor that helped us create the special look we were going for. They did an incredible job setting up the reception space – it looked exactly like what we had envisioned! The fruit display at our appetizer hour was such a hit and enjoyed by all! The food was delicious and we loved that they had plenty of options for our vegetarian guests as well.”

“We had A Catered Event for our barn reception. We had a wonderful experience from dropping the drinks off to the staff serving them. We ordered appetizers, coffee, bar services, and servers. We also did all the linens and tables through them. Set up and tear down was a breeze. All we had to do was decorate, they put everything away for us at the end of the night!
Bob and his staff are a class act and so easy to work with. I recommend them for any event large or small!”

“My daughter’s wedding was a very unique event. Since it was a nostalgia rock and roll wedding – we wanted food that everyone knew and enjoyed. We chose burgers, dogs, macaroni & cheese, salad, baked fries. Our venue was a logistical nightmare, but they worked it all out and just burgers and dogs ended up being perfect and really tasty. I heard many comments on how good everything was. I also heard many comments on how fantastic and attentive the catering staff was. They even made our milkshake station happen – hand making milkshakes for everyone in a timely manner. This wasn’t your typical wedding reception – and they worked out all my unique requests. Pretty much every person said it was the “Best Wedding Ever”, and I feel “A Catered Event” was a part of why it was.”

Our Wedding was April 5th 2014 and we used A Catered Event. They did our food, drinks, waiting staff, etc. They did such a wonderful job! I would recommend this place to anyone who is getting married. They take away so much worry of what your guest will be eating and how they will be taken care of. And the décor was amazing, we told them our colors and everything else was taken care of, the place was gorgeous!!! As a bride my breath was taken away with what the place looked like, they really eased my mind about multiple things and brides all need that lol.”

I initially chose A Catered Event because they were willing to work with me a bit on the price. I wanted to invite as many guest as possible without worrying about price. They made it possible. There is no other caterer in the city that will give you this quality for less than $25 a plate. First of all, they helped create the perfect meal that my husband and I loved! We had a taco bar, almost like Chipotle, with brisket and southwest chicken with chorizo. My guests kept telling me it was the best food they had at a wedding! Not only were the caterers professional and polite, but they seemed to provide services that would almost rival that of a wedding planner. They helped me rent a tent and worked with my facility (North Bank Park Pavilion) to ensure everything was set up properly. Beforehand, we toured the facility and created a floorplan for the big day together. They also helped get everything set up on the day of — when it RAINED unexpectedly and we had to move everything inside. They also helped me rent a heater last minute. I will recommend this caterer to everyone I know. They made the wedding a million times less stressful and I appreciate everything they did for me! They also let you buy your own alcohol, which helped save a lot of money! I cannot thank them enough!”

A Catered Event is a superbly managed company that became my “on-stop shop” for my catering and coordinating needs. I desired a company that could deliver delicious food, coordinate/arrange/set-up equipment rentals to include chairs, tents, tables, linens, china and do it all in a cost-effective manner. A Catered Event exceeded my expectations and the communication with Mary Jane Himes and Susan Conrad was amazing. The amount and quality of the communication offered, especially when a majority of the decisions happened via e-mail, was above average. We got so many compliments on the food and the service; everyone felt that you all went above and beyond and we agree 110%. Mary Jane really impressed the older couple that she helped out throughout the evening and they said they felt like “royalty”. We really appreciated you seeing the need and helping them every step of the way as they both were not that stable on their feet and had traveled a little distance to come. I also want to thank Brian who was our go to person-I barely had to turn my head and he was there for all of us. Your waiters were all so pleasant and I don’t think I ever saw a dirty dish as they were swooped up so fast. I also think the sanctuary was probably cleaner when you left than it was when you got there; we appreciate your tidiness. She arrived early and I discussed with her that I didn’t need her to pass food but to just keep things filled. She kept the food filled and looking good, picked up any used plates etc, took care of the trash, kept the bar area neat and took away empty wine bottles. She completely took over the cutting of the birthday cake and she kept enough pieces already cut and on plates for our guests. In a word she was Amazing!
